 Satyakinkar wanted to perform "Bangla Khayal", which is a speatiality of Bishnupur Gharana, in All India Radio, but they did not allow him to sing. For that reason Satyakinkar refused to perform in Radio from 1961. At that time he was top grade Radio artist.
Finally on March 1978, All India Radio accepted performing Bangla Khayal by inviting Sangeetacharya Satyakinkar for performance.
